XDC Network, in collaboration with Zodia Markets, convened an exclusive private luncheon during Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW), gathering senior executives and institutional investors to explore the expanding role of blockchain in global capital markets. The closed-door event created a high-level forum for strategic dialogue on the future of on-chain finance and institutional blockchain adoption.
The invite-only session, titled “Capital OnChain,” welcomed leaders from major global institutions such as Citi, State Street, Coinbase, Circle, Galaxy, BitGo, Standard Chartered, and other influential financial organizations. Discussions centered on critical topics including asset tokenization, evolving regulatory frameworks, and the integration of distributed ledger technology into established financial systems.
“The convergence of traditional finance and blockchain technology is accelerating,” said Atul Khekade, Co-Founder of XDC Network. “Bringing leading institutions and blockchain innovators into the same room helps build the partnerships and momentum required to embed distributed ledger technology into global capital markets.”
Key industry priorities addressed during the gathering included improving cross-border settlement efficiency, scaling real-world asset tokenization, and overcoming barriers to institutional adoption. The intimate format encouraged candid exchanges, allowing participants to openly discuss both the opportunities and the challenges associated with mainstream blockchain integration in financial services.
Abu Dhabi Finance Week provided a fitting backdrop for these conversations. Hosted by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), ADFW has quickly established itself as a major global financial forum, attracting institutions that collectively manage more than $42 trillion in assets. The week featured participation from regulators, global investment firms, digital asset leaders, and prominent regional players, reinforcing the UAE’s growing reputation as a hub for financial innovation.
The strong institutional presence and focused dialogue highlighted the importance of curated industry forums in advancing blockchain adoption. Participants noted a clear shift toward on-chain finance, as institutions increasingly turn to blockchain technology to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and unlock new financial products. Within this evolving landscape, XDC Network continues to strengthen its position as a key infrastructure provider for institutional-grade blockchain solutions.
