BTC has remained relatively stable around $65,000 since Friday, with the latest move giving bulls some momentum. Most major altcoins have also traded within narrow ranges, although several smaller-cap tokens have significantly outperformed the broader market.

ToggleBitcoin Holds Above $65K
Bitcoin began the previous week with heightened volatility. Following an eventful weekend linked to developments in the Middle East conflict, BTC was rejected near $64,000 before falling sharply to around $62,200 within hours.
Buyers quickly stepped in, allowing the cryptocurrency to recover its losses. Bitcoin then continued to strengthen over the following sessions and reached $65,000 by Wednesday.
The rally lost momentum after the U.S. Senate delivered another setback to the CLARITY Act, pushing BTC back toward the $64,000 region.
However, a weaker-than-expected U.S. jobs report on Friday fueled expectations that the Federal Reserve could keep interest rates unchanged in September. Bitcoin responded by climbing to approximately $65,400.
The move proved temporary. BTC subsequently slipped back toward $65,000 and spent roughly the next 72 hours trading sideways.
Bitcoin briefly dropped to around $64,800 before recovering and is currently trading slightly above $65,000. Market participants are now watching for increased volatility as the week progresses.
Three Altcoins Lead the Gains
While most large-cap cryptocurrencies have seen limited price movements, several altcoins have delivered stronger performances.
Bitway (BTW) has emerged as one of the biggest gainers, climbing roughly 20% over the past 24 hours. The token has recorded triple-digit gains since the same time last Monday, helping it break into the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
Worldcoin (WLD) and PUMP have also posted notable gains, with both tokens rising around 13%. WLD is trading near $0.345, while PUMP has reached approximately $0.0028.
VVV has also performed strongly, gaining about 9% to trade near $12.
By comparison, the largest altcoins remain relatively subdued. Ethereum (ETH), BNB, XRP, Solana (SOL), and TRON (TRX) are posting modest gains, while Hyperliquid (HYPE), Dogecoin (DOGE), RAIN, Zcash (ZEC), and Cardano (ADA) have recorded small declines.
Crypto Market Cap Remains Near $2.3 Trillion
Despite the mixed performance across individual cryptocurrencies, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization remains relatively stable at around $2.3 trillion.
With Bitcoin holding above $65,000 and several altcoins showing stronger momentum, traders will be watching whether the market can break out of its recent sideways pattern or face another period of consolidation.
